Stampin’ Up Retiring List

It’s the time of the year again where Stampin’ Up releases the retiring list. It’s a bittersweet time where we have to say goodbye to some favorites to make room for new products. The full retiring list is visible here: Retiring Products.

Many items are discounted up to 50%, so do check it out while supplies last. I want to highlight some of my favorites that are retiring in this post. I also plan to feature some of these in my upcoming workshops.

My trip to Salt Lake City

My Trip to Salt Lake City

I just got back from my first trip to Salt Lake City. It was awesome! I attended Stampin’ Up’s annual convention and had a wonderful time. I got to see some amazing Stampin’ Up projects and make some new friends. Here are a few pictures of my adventures.

I got to take a tour of the Stampin’ Up building. It was cool to see the behind- the-scenes workings. All the employees were so friendly!! It was great to see all the card samples and the warehouse where orders are packed. I got to meet my upline Dianna Pederson and her friend Maggie Stone. I also got to meet Brenda Quintana the demonstrator who writes  http://qbeesquest.blogspot.com/ a blog that I love to follow. Love her cute Hershey kiss creations. I also got to meet a whole group of demonstrators from Florida! One of the best parts of the trip was all the cards!! I got to see some awesome new products and exchange cards with other demonstrators. Here are just a few of the cards I took pictures of.

Overall it was a great trip and I look forward to attending similar ones in the future.

Fun Folds Cards

We had a wonderful workshop last night 7/28/15 at my house where we made 3 fun folded cards for $5. Here are some pictures of the fun we had and the projects we made.

For those who would like to make one of these fun fold cards here are the specs.

Start with a piece of cardstock cut to 8 x 5 1/2 inches. Score the paper at the 2, 3, 5, and 6 marks. To achieve the folded look its a fold up, down, down, and up across the score lines.

For the side panels:

Cut your designer series paper with the pattern of your choice

to 1  3/4 x 5  1/4 inches.

For the solid paper providing the backing border cut a piece 1 7/8 x 5 3/8 .

The side strip is just a one inch wide scrap. The center shapes were cut using the Labels collection framelits.

The tree card used the Lovely as a tree stamp set and old olive and early espresso paper.

The flower card used the Indescribable Gift stamp set blushing bride and rich razzleberry paper.

The goose card used the wetlands stamp set and crumb cake and early espresso paper.

All cards were colored by markers by hand.  Here are a few others I made. Enjoy.

Graduation Time

Graduation Time

It’s that time of year the students graduate from school. In fact my little sister graduated college this month as well. Congrats Janette!  I made a lovely graduation card for her, in the box card style using scrapbook stickers. I think it turned out great. I’ve already sold two more identical ones. This one is going for $10 a piece if you are interested in one.DSC01919I have been making some other fun graduation cards featuring the Stampin Up punch owl and graduation hat stickers. These are available for sale for $8 a piece.

Adventurous Guy greetings

Adventurous Guy Greetings

Here is a recent trio of cards we made at my last workshop. The theme was masculine cards. I featured using the Adventure Bound designer series paper and the guy greetings stamp set. Both are available in Stampin Up’s occasions catalog here: http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/ItemList.aspx?categoryid=2027

Enjoy. 🙂

Here Comes the Minions

With the huge popularity of Despicable Me, I have been seeing minions everywhere. My nugget purses were a huge hit at my last show so I decided to make some minions with the Hershey nuggets. I think they turned out great and for only $1 a piece I hope they sell out as well this coming first Friday at Baldwin Park.

Disney Princess Box cards

The March of the Princesses

Here are some of my newest box cards. I am loving the Disney chipboard pieces that I found at Joannes. They just happen to be the perfect size for the boxcards. I recently sold out of all of them at my last craft show in February at Baldwin Park. I am in the process of making more and would like to eventually put them on my etsy page.
