I’m continuing to keep my YouTube tutorials simple this week with this Basic Blooms card trio.  I wanted to show a that you don’t have to buy everything in the catalog to make a lovely card. I hope you like it.

Hello everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week. I know I did we had a fun time at my recent card buffet. Everyone got to choose from a variety of card projects and make as many as they would like for only $3 a card. Here’s an action shot from the event. I always seem to forget to take pictures. *sigh* I guess there’s always next time.The video tutorial for today is actually one of the card buffet cards I had as an option at the class this week. Work smarter not harder, right? I hope you like it. I have several new stampers join me recently so I’ve been trying to not overwhelm them with overly complicated cards. Don’t worry though I have several more detailed card tutorials in the works as I’m hoping to finish up my first PDF tutorial on the site with the new set-up for next week fingers crossed.

I’m super excited about my tutorial today. I was inspired to make it after watching Disney’s Moana for the first time on Netflix. I was uncertain if it was still popular enough to justify the tutorial but over 700 of my fellow Stampin’ Up Demonstrators said a huge yes to my question about making it into a tutorial. Which was super encouraging and inspiring! This was the version I shared on that private Facebook group.

  Here are a few pictures from the movie for reference. I think she turned out really close.

The final cards I made for the YouTube tutorial are a bit different than my original, but I love how they turned out better and I even was able to include Moana’s cute pig Pua. I am really enjoying using the new lovely friends bundle. I am so excited that Stampin’ Up has a new pop-up die in the new annual catalog. While the set features flowers and even the example in the catalog shows laurels with flowers, when I saw this set I couldn’t help but think seaweed. So this week’s card and video tutorial is a trip “Under the Sea” (cue Disney music lol).

I hope you guys like it. I look forward to seeing other creations with this idea.
